New members attend an orientation meeting, select an opportunity or opportunities for volunteer service, and receive training accordingly. An assignment typically requires 6 hours per month. You can read a more detailed explanation of the opportunities here.

The Council of VMFA Membership Dues

Council membership is $75 per fiscal year (July 1 - June 30)

The Council of VMFA Membership Fee Schedule

Join Date	Membership Fee	Next Renewal Date
July 1 - December 31	$75 for remainder of fiscal year	June 1 (next year)
January 1 - March 31	$30 for remainder of fiscal year	June 1 (same year)
April 1 and June 30	$75 which includes next full fiscal year	June 1 (following year)
